BIO
Monica Nguyen is an emerging Vietnamese-Canadian creative storyteller who excels both in the technical and creative aspects of filmmaking.
She is experienced in social media content creation, photography, photo/video editing, music video production, visual filmmaking, lighting, event videography, audio production,& cinema filmmaking.
In the early stages of her academic career Monica’s interests were found in Cinematography.
Throughout her academic career at Humber College, she has written, directed, and shot multiple shorts including Magnolia, You Don’t Ask I Don’t Tell, and her thesis film Why Me?

During her academic work internship, she gained experience as a junior video editor and a colorist. Her constant drive and enthusiasm have parlayed themselves into multiple opportunities on professional sets as both a grip and PA where she has been praised for her hard work and determination. Monica has worked on various commercial and music video productions working on sets with known sport brand; Hayabusa, TIFF, and Netflix, and collaborating with artists such as Jamie Fine.

After attaining her degree in Humber’s Bachelor of Film and Media Production program, she will utilize her array of skills in her career path through the film industry.
